The species rich Bijilo Forest Park is a fenced woodland which was gazetted in 1952 and covers an area of 51.3 hectares [2] situated on the coast just south of the Senegambia area of Kololi. The park consists of mainly of closed canopy forest with a significant number of Borassus aethiopum palms.

There were a lot of new infant monkeys, so the park manager recommended a guide. High season price 1500 Low season 850, which is what we agreed.

The Bijilo Forest Park & Nature Trail was established in 1951 and is commonly known as Monkey Park. Located at the southern end of Senegambia Beach. It's a popular tourist attraction and educational aid. This alone makes it worthwhile, but there's another more pressing reason to save the park.

Bijilo Forest Park. Bijilo Forest park is nearby. It is a small but very beautiful forest where you can see green vervet monkeys and red colobus monkeys, all kinds of birds and beautiful big trees. It is one of few remaining dense forests. You do not need a separate guide here, so entrance to the park is included in the tour where I will be.
